Nutrition
The Nutrition Department is responsible for the provision of appropriate nutritional advice, resources and counselling to all patients referred, to ensure optimal nutrition is achieved. The department services individuals within the acute hospital setting, in the Medical, Surgical, Critical Care, Midwifery, Oncology, Dialysis and Paediatric Units. It also services outpatients, referral being accepted from both Health Care professionals and individuals self referring. The department is actively involved in Health promotion, supporting a number of community based programs.
The Nutrition Department works closely with the Food Services Department to provide a menu that supports the Dietary Guidelines for Australia.
The Dietitians are responsible for monitoring the provision of the Home Enteral Nutrition (HEN) program. This program supports the provision of food supplement products to individuals receiving nutrition other then via the oral route, enabling them to remain at home.

Group Education:
- Diabetes Mellitus including supermarket tour and cooking group
- Cardiovascular Disease including cooking demonstration
- Home Enteral Nutrition
