Professional Behaviour and Responsibilities
All staff at Northeast Health Wangaratta must behave in accordance with the Code of Behaviour. As a student you are expected to be aware of this code and abide by it whilst on placement.The NHW Code of Behaviour is aligned to the Code of Conduct for Victorian Public Sector employees. (Code of Conduct for Vic Public Sector Employees Page V)

What is professional behaviour?
As a student it is important to consider the following attributes that work towards making your placement successful.- Remember to treat your placement like a real job.
- Clearly wear your student Identification badge. You will be given a NHW student badge on your first day please ensure you return it at completion of your placement.
- Uniform is your university or TAFE uniform
- Seek permission from the patient/carers or the responsible staff before proceeding with an intervention.
- Always introduce yourself as a student.
- Be aware of and maintain appropriate professional boundaries
