Volunteering at NHW
Volunteers are an integral part of Northeast Health Wangaratta and its community. Invaluable are the hundreds of volunteers who whole heartedly give their time and expertise to patients, residents, clients, families and staff to help provide the best care and quality of life to those who require our help and support.
NHW Volunteer Programs consist of:
- Friends of the Hospital Auxiliary
- Palliative Care Volunteers
- Library Ladies
- Nursing Home Aged Care Volunteers
- Pastoral Care Volunteers
- Community Advisory Committee Members
- Volunteer Patient Visitors
- Pastoral Care Volunteers
- Spiritual Sanctuary Volunteers
- Psychiatric Support Volunteers
- Fundraising Volunteers
NHW's volunteer programs combined, engage more than 120 permanent volunteers as well as a number of service clubs, students, local community groups and individuals who volunteer for fundraisers, special events ad projects.
More volunteers however are needed to ensure the longevity of NHW's volunteer program and activities. A brochure outlining the rewards of volunteering at NHW can be downloaded below.
