Since the inaugural WAW Latipsoh Day in 2002, the appeal has raised over $600,000 for hospitals throughout North East Victoria and Southern New South Wales including Northeast Health Wangaratta.
The appeal now in it's eighth year, supports eleven hospitals, health services and bush nursing centres in our region based in Wangaratta, Chiltern, Beechworth, Yackandandah, Myrtleford, Tallangatta, Culcairn, Corryong, Walwa, Wodonga and Albury.
All funds raised by Northeast Health Wangaratta in 2008 will go towards the purchase of a special hi-lo electirc cot for the Paediatric Unit, a double cuff tourniquet for the Emergency Department and dynamic air mattresses for the Critical Care Unit.
A number of Latipsoh fundraising events are held each year including a raffle, Charity Golf Day at Jubilee Golf Club, Gala Dinner and Auction and a telethon. WAW Credit Union, 2AY Radio, Ace Radio, Commercial Club and the Border Mail are the Latipsoh Day Appeal coordinators and major sponsors.
